Tools · honest math only

Free tools that show their work.

A quiz that names your repair job and two estimators driven by our published ranges — with every scoring rule printed on the page, nothing you enter leaving your browser, and never a fake-precise number. Calibration for the real conversation, not a substitute for it.

Three tools live below. New ones are added only when honest math exists for them — we cut two planned tools for exactly that reason.

The rules these tools run on

Ranges out, never single figures

Precision without your file is theater — every result is a band inside published pricing, labeled indicative.

Auditable by design

The scoring lives on the page in prose — check it, argue with it, or run it yourself without JavaScript.

Nothing leaves your browser

No answers stored or sent — one anonymous result-shown event, disclosed plainly on every tool.

Tools FAQ · Updated July 2026

How the tools work.

Two rules, both verifiable on the pages themselves. First: every figure is our own published pricing — the estimators place your inputs inside ranges that already live on our pricing page, dated, and never output a single dollar figure, because precision without seeing your file is theater. Second: the math is printed in the open — every tool's scoring or classification logic is written out in prose right below it, so you can check the reasoning or run it yourself with JavaScript off. A tool you can't audit is a lead form wearing a costume.
No. All three run entirely in your browser — no answers are submitted, stored, or connected to you. Each records a single anonymous analytics event noting that a result appeared and which category or band it was, so we can tell whether the tools genuinely help — never your individual answers, never anything identifying. What you enter reaches us only if and when you choose to book the free review and tell us yourself.
No — calibration, deliberately. Every result carries the same line: indicative — your fixed fee is scoped in writing after the free review. The real number can land below what a tool shows (simple files at the published floors are common, and sometimes the honest answer is DIY with our free guides), and it's fixed before any work starts, never hourly. The tools exist so you walk into that conversation knowing the honest ballpark and the right service — not so a widget replaces a senior operator reading your actual file.

Rather skip the widgets entirely? The free assessment is the real instrument — a senior operator, your actual file, one business day.
